Feet are good...

Both our babies have left the nest this week. Unfortunately the folks are a bit skittish, so it's been difficult to get photos of the flying lessons. After chasing away the neighborhood cats most of the evening, this little one eventually got the hang of the wing thingies and took off on a new life!

I am such an idiot...

Russell Brand was on Jay Leno, and I missed it! And I wasn't even sleeping, or anything constructive like that...

This just makes me laugh... My neighbors think I only have one cat, because they only ever see Inigo in the window. But if you open the shade, shove a chair under the sill - and voila!

Phoebe perch.

They're going to love the hatchlings!

I have a pair of doves trying to nest on my porch... Mamma is a bit nervous about people coming and going, so I'm trying to be quick and quiet when passing through.

If all goes well, in about two weeks we'll have two little baby doves! For some reason this makes me ridiculously happy...

Self Indulgence...

I bribed Mark to convert a couple of region 2 Russell Brand DVDs into something playable for me so I can amuse myself while I'm having a bunch of work done on the house... (Sometimes you have to laugh while you're kissing all your money goodbye. The alternative involves buying stock in Kleenex, and I'm not savvy enough for the current market.)

So far this month's household extravagences have involved:
  1. Plumbing - Can you believe someone shoved a RAG down the tub drain at some point? Probably the same brain surgeon that poured plaster down the utility tub in the basement) and a new spigot with shut-off valve for the front of the house.
  2. Electrician - new circuits and wiring for the
  3. CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING - that will be going in this week.
Yes children, I'm finally joining the 21st century. Window fans are so passé.

And since I can no longer afford to leave my house, and the basement's in no condition for actual painting, I've been driven to the computer once again to indulge my creative impulses. And since I'm watching the DVDs, could there be anything more appropriate than a portrait? The answer is "no."

Still mucking about with vector...

Detail... Howard Moon... because what I need is one more Boosh screensaver!

Just starting, wanted to see how it looked somewhere besides Photoshop....
